Plan your Geometry Dash practice session
This planner uses your estimates, not a database of game difficulty. Start and end percentages identify a section of a Classic level; they do not determine how long or how hard that section is. For Platformer play, use a separate time-based routine rather than interpreting these percentages as progress.
How the calculation works
Time budget in seconds = available minutes × 60.
One attempt cycle = playing seconds + retry/review seconds.
Complete attempts = floor(time budget ÷ attempt cycle).
The plan reserves a complete retry/review period after every attempt, including the final one. Used time is attempts multiplied by cycle duration; unused time is the budget minus used time. A budget shorter than one complete cycle produces zero complete attempts, not a fractional promise.
The section length is end percentage minus start percentage. It is displayed only as a label. A 20-percentage-point interval is not necessarily 20% of the level’s time, effort or difficulty.
A worked example
For a 40–60% section, 15 minutes available, 20 seconds playing and 5 seconds retrying or reviewing: the budget is 900 seconds; each cycle is 25 seconds; 900 ÷ 25 = 36 complete attempts. Used time is 900 seconds and unused time is zero. These are illustrative values, not measured timings for a specific level.
If attempts take longer or you pause, update your estimates. Changing any input invalidates the previous result and its copy action, so an old plan cannot silently be reused.
Use the plan thoughtfully
- Choose a small section that needs work, rather than the whole level by default.
- Time several ordinary attempts yourself and enter a useful estimate.
- Budget review and retry time; set aside longer breaks separately.
- After a session, adjust the timing or section based on what you learned.
The beginner guide explains the distinction between practice and a Normal-mode clear. RobTop’s official store description identifies Practice mode; this planner is our independent organizational tool. It does not launch the game, verify attempts or predict completion.
Limits, privacy and copying
Values must be finite and non-negative where allowed, with no more than six decimal places. Zero available time or zero playing time is not a valid session; a zero retry time is allowed. There is no automatic plan storage. Copying needs your browser’s clipboard support; when it fails, selectable plan text is provided.
We never send entered numbers or plan text to analytics. Optional measurement records only that a valid plan was created, after permission. Read the privacy notice or use the footer to change analytics choices.
